Machine Leveling with Precision Machinist Levels
A machinist level is the primary tool for setting up and levelling machine tools, aligning beds and columns, and verifying the flatness of surface plates and worktables. We supply machinist levels and precision levels from Starrett and Vertex with accuracy from 0.02mm/m, the tolerance required for serious machine tool work.
The precision-ground vial is adjustable for calibration and sits in a machined cast-iron base with a flat or V-groove underside, allowing the level to rest on flat surfaces as well as cylindrical shafts and spindles. This makes the same instrument suitable for both machine leveling and shaft alignment checks.
Choose a longer level for large machine tools and shorter models for tight locations on small equipment. Pair your precision levels with Digital Levels and Angle Gauges for complete angular measurement and machine alignment capability.
